Choose Kindness: Your Words Hold Power

In today's world, when communication is essentially instantaneous due to the nature of our use of all things online and cell phone — whether with purpose or not–the words we employ matter even more. Our words are sent around the world in seconds, all at a click of button. Powerful but all so fast that we must remain careful not to hurt in the process of existing with others. Every single post, comment or message can make a difference in someone else than that good way.

Nurturing our social media presence is more than something we should do, it's everything. The internet has united us all, but it can be a double- edged sword… [Photo by CC user via Flickr()] So, the same way you want respect and kindness from others in your daily life – provide it to them online. The rule of don't be a dick to others as you yourself would not like it, still holds massively for online.

Before pressing "send" or "post," ask yourself how will your words would make the other person feel. Ask yourself this: would the message you're about to leave help or hurt someone? You had the power — your words to help and their strength provide comfort, lend a hand or knockdown, hurt when used carelessly. On the Internet, a toxic wasteland where tone and intent are all but impossible to read from text alone we need even more kindness and understanding addslashes() :=entities.

Spreading positivity can help develop a better online community. A space where people can be vulnerable and share their deepest thoughts, a place of authentic conversation that allow human connection to happen in its most beautiful way. That seems like it could a reality if we all look up to around us! So, every contributing action is crucial; a kind feedback or rather offering an information or in simple avoiding to fuel negativity further.

After all, it is a digital world made by us. It also means minding our words, using kindness to treat others respectfully and enhancing the way we use of social media with positive influence. So that the internet can be a place in which all of us have every opportunity to flourish, one deliberate click at a time.
